January 4, 1949 - April 23, 2023

Will McHenry was a visionary innovator and enthusiastic supporter of on-site food recovery and composting. As Director of Facilities and Projects at the Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank for 13 years, he was instrumental in the installation of a FOR Solutions aerobic in-vessel rotary drum composting system in 2015. Since then, over 1 million pounds of food not fit for distribution has been diverted from landfilling and converted into nutrient-dense, pathogen-free, compost.
